# The hosted service

> What being on the cloud means, and where its boundaries are.

Nushir is sold as a hosted service at
[platform.nushir.com](https://platform.nushir.com): we run the servers,
scheduling, storage and upgrades; you connect channels and publish.

## What is handled for you

* Publishing infrastructure, on the server — nothing needs to stay open
* Storage for the media library
* Platform API changes, tracked and absorbed as they happen
* TLS, backups and upgrades

## The boundaries

* **Billing is monthly, in SAR** — see [plans](/cloud/plans) and
  [subscription](/cloud/subscription)
* **Limits are per plan** — see [limits](/cloud/limits)
* **Publishing is never guaranteed.** Platforms have outages and revoke
tokens; Nushir schedules and calls their APIs, and reports honestly when a
  platform refuses.

## Data

Post content, channel credentials and uploaded media are stored for the
account, encrypted in transit, and deleted with the account. Full detail lives
in the [privacy policy](https://nushir.com/en/privacy.html).
