# RSS auto-posting

> Turn a feed into scheduled posts.

Point Nushir at a feed and new items become posts.

## Setting it up

Add the feed URL, choose the channels, and choose whether items are queued as
drafts or scheduled directly.

## Drafts or scheduled

**Drafts** are the safer default: nothing publishes until a person looks at it.

**Scheduled** is genuinely hands-off, and genuinely publishes whatever the feed
produces. Only use it on a feed you control.

## Timing

Feeds are polled periodically, not instantly. An item can take some minutes to
appear.

  A feed that republishes old items, or changes GUIDs, can produce duplicate
  posts. Check the behaviour on drafts before switching a feed to scheduled.
