# Moving and rescheduling posts

> Drag and drop, and what happens when the post has already published.

## Rescheduling a queued post

Drag it to a new slot — the scheduled time updates immediately. Or open the
post and change the date in the composer, which is easier for a move of weeks
rather than hours.

Times are whole-calendar positions: dragging between days keeps the hour,
dragging within a day changes it.

## Group behaviour

Posts created together share a [group](/general/concepts#post-and-post-group)
but reschedule independently — dragging one channel's post does not move its
siblings. Delete, by contrast, can act on the whole group.

## Published posts

  Dragging a **published** post only edits Nushir's record of when it went out.
  Nothing changes on the platform — no platform exposes "move my post in time".

## Failed posts

A post in an error state keeps its slot. Fix the cause — usually a channel
needing reconnection — then reschedule it to a future time so it re-queues.
