# AI generation

> Generate text and media in the composer, and how credits work.

The composer can draft copy and generate images or video, where the account has
the features enabled.

## Text

The AI assistant drafts or rewrites post copy from a prompt. It writes into the
editor — nothing publishes without you scheduling it, and everything it writes
can be edited like any other draft.

## Images and video

Generated media lands in the [media library](/general/media-library) like any
upload, and is attached to posts the same way.

Video generation runs on a configured provider and consumes plan credits; the
composer shows the balance before you generate.

## Availability

These features depend on what your plan includes and what the deployment has
configured. When a provider is not configured, the option is hidden rather than
shown broken — so an absent button means not enabled, not an error. See
[plans](/cloud/plans) for what each tier includes.
