# Threads and comments

> Multi-part posts, and what each platform does with them.

Add a part in the composer and the post becomes multi-part.

## What each platform does

| Behaviour | Platforms |
| - | - |
| Publishes as a native thread | X, Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads |
| Publishes the first part, then the rest as comments | Most others |

Either way the parts arrive in order, and the composer shows which behaviour
applies before you schedule.

## Delays

A part can carry a delay, so a follow-up comment does not land in the same
second as the post. Useful where an immediate self-comment reads as automated.

## Over the API

Parts are entries in `value`:

`delay` is in seconds, measured from the previous part.
