No Bearer prefix. The key is sent raw. Adding Bearer returns 401, and it is the single most common first-call mistake.

Two credentials, one header

API key — from Settings → Developers. Scoped to the organisation that created it. This is what you want for your own integration. OAuth token — issued to an approved app so other people can connect their Nushir account to your product. Recognised by a pos_ prefix, and resolves to the organisation that granted access. Both go on the same header; the server tells them apart by the prefix.

Scope

A key acts as the whole organisation. There are no per-key permissions — a key that can read can also publish, delete posts and disconnect channels.

Keeping it safe

Server-side only. A key in browser code is public the moment the bundle ships, and it can disconnect every channel on the account.
Keep it in an environment variable or a secret manager. If one leaks, revoke it in Settings → Developers — revocation takes effect immediately.

Checking a key works

200 means the key is good. 401 means it is missing, wrong, or prefixed.
